Gandhari grieves deeply but restrains her sorrow, reminding herself that a Kshatriya woman must accept loss with fortitude.

A Father’s Pride

In the Pandava camp, triumph ripples through the ranks. Pandavas rejoice over Iravan’s heroism, and Arjuna stands silent, eyes shining with pride.

His heart swells — not merely for victory, but because his son has proven worthy of the lineage of warriors.

Karna’s Inner Conflict

Elsewhere, Karna struggles with his conscience. He asks himself whether he must bow his head and fight like an ordinary soldier just to win Bhishma’s approval. His pride burns, but loyalty to friendship burns brighter.

He resolves to set aside his ego and support Duryodhana. He informs Duryodhana of his decision, and Duryodhana immediately rushes to Bhishma to advocate for Karna’s entry into combat.

Bhishma refuses him outright.

Krishna Reveals a New Strategy

At the Pandava camp, a spy brings news of Bhishma’s rejection of Karna. Krishna listens quietly, then breaks into a radiant smile. He declares that this is the perfect moment to topple Bhishma. Everyone is puzzled, but Krishna speaks with certainty. He instructs Draupadi to meet Karna at dawn. Those around him — stunned and uneasy — wait for an explanation. Krishna begins outlining a plan that could change the course of the war.

The night grows heavy with tension.
